For this academic project involving the adaptive reuse of an industrial property into residential apartments, the challenge lay in sourcing and implementing sustainable materials to substantially reduce the carbon footprint while transforming the historically significant building’s image and ambiance.
Through the exploration of shape and form, the small apartment still feels roomy and open with various zones for dwellers to use. Sustainable, natural and recycled materials were specified for all materials and furnishings.
Our scope of work focused on material research and design
development to address these objectives.
